Social Media
Social media is an amazing way for brands to connect to their audience and answer pain points for them. Throughout my career I’ve worked on multiple different social media projects but I’m going to focus on what I’ve worked on with Aylo Health.
Before I came on, their social media had fallen to the way side, not because they didn’t think it was important, but because they were overwhelmed with what needed to be done. I’ve worked hard to develop a content strategy that connects with their growth development and touched on what their audience could connect to to drive more engagement and impressions.
With Aylo Health, I worked closely with our in-house marketing team and our creative ad agency to launch new strategies focusing more on short-form content. I developed their brand voice across multiple platforms through crafting social media copy, and guiding the persona of who Aylo Health is as a company on platforms. With my work I have grown their audience by over 50%.
Optimizing Websites
I worked with We Recruit Well to transfer and rebuild their website from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1.
The owners, Beth and and Paige, had a strong vision but needed help rebuilding their website that was easier and faster for them to use. With this project, I wanted to ensure the transfer from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1 was as smooth as possible. I wanted to keep all the work they had done to build out their SEO and the content they spent years creating.
This was a project to help them recreate a perfect landing place for future clients, and their thought leadership on recruiting and best practices on being a strong leader.
Editing & Supporting Writers
I’ve been passionate about reading and writing for a very long time and naturally fell into editing. It started with my undergraduate degree in Writing & Linguistics, and working in Georgia Southern’s Writing Center as a tutor. I found that helping students edit their work was rewarding and I liked doing it.
As an editor, I work with self-published authors who need support with developmental edits, line editing and proofreading.
I’ve edited 13 novels, 2 novellas and 6 short stories.
My goal when I’m editing is to work closely with the author. Every time I edit, I try to understand what the author wants out of their work, and how I can help them step by step to chisel away and make their work a masterpiece.
Chill Beats: A Music YouTube Channel
Lo-Fi music helps people concentrate while working and studying and helps many people feel calm. Comfort was already a common theme in the Cardlin Media Productions sphere, so I helped branch the company out into this new venture to connect with the ongoing audience members and find new avenues of revenue.
On this project, I managed a small team with an illustrator, an animator, and a musician.
Through the process of producing the six albums, I kept the budget on track to ensure no waste or overages, developed timelines and ensured the meeting of all the deadlines, and communicated with all the artists to make sure the separate pieces they were creating came together as a cohesive piece of work.
Patreon: Monetizing Creator’s Work
Patreon is a modern-day mainstay for any online creative, and at Cardlin Media Productions, I more than quadrupled their subscribers on the platform. This was primarily done through a combination of understanding the demographic to create a clear presentation of the company’s offerings and through a complete revamping of the customer experience.
This was an ongoing project, and it was essential to maintain what Patreon needed as the audience changed and grew. In regards to that, I handled all copywriting, customer relations, maintained the content schedule, and kept an eye on the performance of the content posted.
With all of this, I helped grow CMP’s base to more than 5,000 subscribers, and it is now within the top .5% of all Patreon pages.
Tingles & Dragons: Producing a Podcast
Tingles & Dragons (A Dungeons & Dragons podcast) was a 4-hour livestream podcast with 34 episodes.
With this project, I scheduled all meetings, events, and livestreams and monitored them while they were livestreaming.
I managed their budget to make sure there were no wastes or overages.
I handled all social media, including posting daily on Twitter to keep brand engagement up.
I worked with several artists on graphic design to have a cohesive look over all the social media platforms we were using to ensure that we were easily recognizable and easy to find.
Tingles & Dragons had a solid fan base while regularly receiving 1000 viewers per livestream.
Enamel Pin Production
Merch is part of the living, breathing experience of having customers connect to content creators. The Enamel Pin and Postcard project was all about identifying the audience and creating merchandise that they would want to collect and stay up to date on.
Within this project, I worked on managing the budget of the project, collaborating with artists to design on-brand art that the customers would connect with, and working with a graphic designer to create cohesive on-brand backing cards to fit into the overall brand of Cardlin Media Productions. Through that, I also worked very closely with manufacturers to create the enamel pins, so we got the best quality possible.
I also launched all of the social media campaigns with each enamel pin and created the copy for all of the social media posts for Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube.
With my hard work, Cardlin Media Productions has sold over 10,000 collectible enamel pins and postcards through Patreon and 500 sales through an Etsy store.
Knitting
Ahh, what is this doing at the very bottom of the page?
Well, it’s a passion of mine and I think I would be remiss if I didn’t give a glimpse into some of the passion projects that I work on outside of social media and content creation.
My grandmother taught me how to knit when I was 8 and I haven’t stopped since. It’s a pleasure to create something from yarn.
The projects I like to work on are bigger pieces like sweaters and skirts.
Even on a hot summer Georgia evening you can catch me outside with a pair of knitting needles.
